Sharman arrived at Chesterfield last year after catching the eye in a Sunday league game for Dronfield. From there he was invited to a trial game and then came back to train before signing for the youth team.
A midfielder by trade, Sharman has recently made the switch to become a centre half, and is flourishing in that role under Miguel Llera's guidance. He first played in defence against Stoke City last season, and has been operated there ever since.
Sharman is a Spireites fan and has owned a season ticket for the past four years. A professional contract in the future would therefore mean the world to him.
