Attacking player Hines arrived at the Spireites as one of three signings on January 4 and joins the club on an 18-month contract.
The Jamaican born player started his career at West Ham, making 22 Premier League appearances and scoring one goal. Since then he has gone on to play right throughout the EFL.
Hines had a loan spell with Coventry in 2007/08, playing seven times in the Championship before moving permanently to Burnley in 2011/12. From there he had another loan spell out at Bournemouth before moving to Bradford a season later.
He was then a Dagenham and Redbridge player from 2013 to 2016, before joining Southend where he spent a short spell.
Hines moved to Chesterfield from National League side Maidstone United, where he played 20 times and scored six goals in the first half of the 2017/18 campaign.
