Capable of playing as a midfielder or as a forward, Louis Dodds joined the Spireites on an 18-month contract on transfer deadline day.
Dodds’ career started out at Leicester City and though he would not go on to make a first team appearance at the King Power Stadium, he gained valuable experience from loan spells at Northwich Victoria, Rochdale and Lincoln City. During his time at Sincil Bank, Dodds scored 9 goals in 41 appearances.
In the summer of 2008, Dodds moved to Port Vale following his release from the Foxes, scoring on his debut against Luton Town. Dodds would go on to play a big part in Vale's promotion to Sky Bet League One in the 2012/13 campaign.
After eight years in the Potteries, Dodds joined Shrewsbury Town in the summer of 2016. Where in total he made 62 appearances scoring 12 times.
