Congratulations have been sent from Chesterfield to Barrow after confirmation of their promotion to the EFL as champions of the Vanarama National League was announced last night.
Barrow are of course managed by Ian Evatt and company secretary Ashley Carson contacted the former Spireite personally to congratulate him.
Carson said: "Barrow's promotion is totally justified and a tremendous achievement. I am delighted that this decision has finally been made by the National League.
"We wish Barrow all the very best in League Two next season."
Joining the Vanarama National League next season will be King’s Lynn Town, champions of Vanarama National League North and the Vanarama National League South champions, Wealdstone.
The end of season play-offs will now proceed with the clubs that qualify, subject to the competition rules and the applicable government guidance on the phased return of elite sport.
