The Spireites have secured the signing of Nathan Tyson from Notts County on loan until the end of the season, subject to the deal being approved by the FA.
The experienced striker has played the vast majority of his career in the Football League, having stints with the likes of Nottingham Forest, Derby County, Doncaster Rovers and Wycombe Wanderers.
He signed for the Magpies after their relegation to the National League last summer and has made sixteen appearances for County this campaign.
After the 37-year-old completed the move, caretaker manager John Pemberton stated how pleased he is with his new recruit.
“He adds experience which is important and is what we needed,” said Pemberton
“I think in his career he’s scored 122 goals so hopefully he’ll add some goals to us.
“He’s played at a high level and he fits with what we are trying to put together in the dressing room.
“It’s competition for everybody so when we get Mike (Fondop) back we’ll have four strikers and two young ones which are coming through.”
