Chesterfield have signed goalkeeper Ross Fitzsimons from fellow National League side Notts County on a loan deal until the end of the season.
The 25-year-old began his career at Crystal Palace where he came through the youth ranks before spending time out on loan at the likes of Havant and Waterlooville and Hendon.
Fitzsimons then left Palace permanently to join Bolton before having spells at Braintree Town and Chelmsford City.
He joined Notts County in the summer of 2017 and has gone on to make over 50 appearances for the Magpies.
On signing, the goalkeeper said: “I want to play as many games as I can but I’ve got to wait for my chance.
“Hopefully when I get it I can take it with both hands and help us as much as I can.”
