After a 3-0 loss away at Solihull Moors, Chesterfield manager John Sheridan gave his assessment of his team’s performance to Spireites Digital.
“It’s always a difficult place to come because they do put the ball into the box and they play forward quickly,” he said.
“I think we’ve actually competed in the game and played alright but we’ve lost 3-0.
“We’ve dealt with the balls that were played quickly and we’ve had one or two decent opportunities but we’re vulnerable at the moment.”
Chesterfield still struggled with injuries and the sickness bug with a couple of players being taken off because of them.
The boss gave an update by saying: “I don’t think Josef Yarney’s hamstring has gone. He wanted to play but I knew there was always a risk.
“I just hope it’s not serious.
“We are short on numbers.
“There’s a few lads still playing with an illness. Buchs is still sick and Jack McKay is still sick.”
Gevaro was the only change out of the squad from the defeat to Halifax and the gaffer talked about the winger’s absence and loan deal.
“He was off with the sickness bug,” said Sheridan.
“We'll assess him and see how he wants to go.
“We've spoken to Oldham and we think they want to bring him back.
“We’ll keep trying to bring him back as well.”
