With the season now officially over, John Pemberton is keen to be able to start putting plans in place for the future as soon as possible.
The manager is currently unable to work after being furloughed, along with the rest of the staff and players, but he revealed in his latest Q&A session that he is hoping to be given the green light to resume working.
He said: "I’ve spoken to Ashley (Carson) about maybe about being taken off furlough soon so I can start some planning.
"I did mention to him about doing some planning because what we don't want to do as a club is get into June or maybe July where we've actually done nothing.
"What we don't want to do is get involved in a rat race later on when we decide that we can get back so I’m trying to put some things in place, hopefully."
Pemberton is keen to put the wheels in motion while waiting for own situation to be resolved amid the planned takeover.
"Whatever happens with me, I’m happy with that because I think that would be fair to do that for the club," he said.
"I’m sure I’ll have discussions soon when we know more about what's happening with the club with regards to my future.
"I've enjoyed really enjoyed my time at the club. It’s he's been really tough, dealing with what we had to do, but I got brilliant support from everyone and we managed to do really what we set out to do when we came in and that was to survive in this division.
"Whatever happens, I’m quite proud of myself and the staff that we've been able to do that."
