The Spireites travel to Wrexham this evening (7.45pm) to face the Welsh side for the third time in the space of seven days. A week after an own goal gave Chesterfield a 1-0 league win at the Racecourse Ground, the two sides meet again in an FA Cup replay following Saturday's 1-1 draw at the Proact. Here is our match preview...
Admission is priced as follows:
Over 80/Under 18: £1
Home tie awaits:
The draw for the first round of the FA Cup was made last night and there is a home tie in prospect for the winner of tonight's replay.
Chesterfield or Wrexham will be at home to Rochdale on the weekend of November 9.
The winner of the replay will win £18,750 in prize money with £36,000 going to clubs who go through to the second round of the competition.
John Sheridan will be forced to make at least one change as Sam Wedgbury had to come off during Saturday's game after suffering a calf injury.
Jonathan Smith, who came on to replace Wedgbury, in the first half, will be hoping to be given the nod to take his place in the starting line-up.
Shwan Jalal will be assessed after picking up a knock while David Buchanan is not quite ready to make his comeback after injury.
From the dugout:
Mark Crossley said: "There's not much to choose between the two teams. I think we can see signs that it's getting slightly better. We're defending better as a team but there's still a lot to be done."
