Thanks to the generosity of supporters who attended yesterday's game against Chorley, over £1,250 has been raised for Prostate Cancer UK!
Volunteers organised a collection at the stadium and money was also raised in the hospitality lounges through the sale of pin badges/keyrings/wristbands, a pre-match game in the SBK Spires Restaurant and a silent auction.
A couple of items of Chesterfield memorabilia went unsold (shown above) and supporters are now invited to bid for them until midnight tonight.
A large framed presentation commemorating the 1997 FA Cup semi-final, signed by Spireites legend Jamie Hewitt, is available. Only three of these have been produced and bids starting at £150 are invited.
The other item is a large framed presentation featuring photos of Tommy Lee, signed by the legendary former Spireites keeper. Offers starting at £125 are invited for this.
To make a bid, please email firstname.lastname@example.org by midnight. Any winning bidders will be notified if they have been successful.
All the money raised over the weekend will be paid into our JustGiving account tomorrow and it would be great if we could reach the £1,500-mark. National League sponsor Vanarama are holding a draw to win a mini-bus for three years for any club raising £500 or more and reaching £1,500 would provide the club with three tickets in the draw.
