Mind Body Spirit, based in the HUB at the Proact, are raising funds to provide every local primary school with a defibrillator.
Their first fundraiser was at the end of April when Mind Body Spirit owner Mike Holden climbed Ben Nevis with his friend and colleague from the British Ju-Jitsu Association Governing Body, Ian Arbon.
Mike said: "Our total currently stands at £1,635, which means we can provide two schools with an AED (automated external defibrillator).
"Further fundraising events are planned and I would urge people to provide any money they can to help us provide all local primary schools with this vital piece of equipment."
