After the Spireites’ 2-1 victory at Havant and Waterlooville on Saturday, Glynn Snodin started off by saying how pleased he was with the comeback win.
“Of course you’re happy with the result,” he said to Spireites Digital.
“They are down there fighting for everything and to come away with the three points, it’s a fantastic effort.
“1-0 down in these conditions, but they showed some character.
“I thought it was well deserved."
Scott Boden scored a crucial stoppage-time penalty during the game to complete the comeback, and Snodin was full of praise when asked about the striker.
“It’s a credit to him,” Snodin stated.
“Some strikers will miss chances and won’t want to get in next time.
“He can miss four or five but he gets that important one.”
After two games on the road, Chesterfield now have consecutive matches at the Proact, and Snodin outlined how they will try to take their away form into the fixtures at the Proact.
“We’ve got to make the Proact a fortress now.
“The lads have done great on the road and hopefully we can go back and get the results we want.
“We trust in the players and we will keep believing in them.
“Onwards and upwards.”
