The Proact Stadium hosted walking football's inaugural European Nations Cup, featuring Over-50s and Over-60s teams representing England, Wales and Italy.
England enjoyed a twin triumph, beating Italy in the final in both age groups, winning 4-1 and 3-1 respectively.
Presentations were made afterwards at a gala dinner, held in the SBK Computers Spires Reastaurant, featuring superb entertainment from vocalist Gemma Louise Doyle.
Walking Football Association chief executive Paul Carr said: "The staging of the tournament was another significant milestone for walking football and it was great to see the games played in the right spirit.
"The Proact Stadium was the natural choice as a venue as it was John Croot, Chesterfield FC Community Trust's CEO, who played a pioneering role in the development of the sport.
"I would like to thank all the players and management staff from the three nations, together with everyone else who made it such a memorable event, including the staff at Chesterfield FC."
There are now more than 1,000 walking football teams and 40,000 players in the UK alone.
