The youth team went down to a 2-0 defeat on Saturday against Scunthorpe United in their first home game of the season.
Two goals in the last 30 minutes saw Scunthorpe take the three points as the tough conditions affected the game.
The first goal came after the wing-back got caught on the ball at the edge of the box. After winning the ball, the Scunthorpe player crossed the ball into the box where an unmarked player volleyed home.
The keeper then played a long ball over the top and a deflected shot wrong-footed keeper Dylan Wharton to make it 2-0 to the visitors with 15 minutes to go.
Reflecting on the match, coach Neil Cluxton said: “The result was disappointing and the reactions to the goals weren’t great, so that is something we are going to address this week.
“We have a few things to address this week, but nothing major. It was only the second game of the season, we are still getting to know each other a little bit and hopefully we can pick it up and put a good performance in against Bradford this Saturday, away.”
