John Sheridan has revealed that a couple of players who missed Saturday's opening game of the season are set to return to the squad for tonight's trip to Maidenhead United.
Haydn Hollis, Laurence Maguire, Anthony Gerrard and Anthony Spyrou were among those who missed Saturday's 2-1 defeat at home to Dover Athletic.
Speaking to the media ahead of tonight's game, Sheridan said: "There are a couple of them who're back involved and available to play. I won't tell you who they are because I don't like giving information to the opposition."
The Spireites boss is looking for his team to stamp their authority on the game after being disappointed with Saturday's performance. He said: "We played well for 20 minutes but you can't play in patches. You've got to dominate games for longer periods if you're going to win them.
"It desn't matter who you play, it's a very evenly-matched league. Even though it's the second game of the season, it's a must-win to keep us in and around the mix.
"It's a long, long season and the main aim is to get out of this league. It's going to be tough but I definitely believe we can do it."
