The hospitality lounges have had a pre-season makeover in readiness for this weekend's big kick-off - and a former Spireites player has played a key role in the transformation!
The SBK Spireites Restaurant, the National Windscreens Vice-Presidents Suite and the Brampton Brewery 1866 Lounge have all been freshly decorated.
The decorating has been done by AH Painting & Decorating, run by one-time Chesterfield winger Andy Higginbottom.
Madeleine Griffin, head of conference & banqueting at the Proact, said: "The painting work has certainly brightened up the lounges and we look forward to welcoming all our hospitality guests this season. I'd like to thank Andy and his team for their hard work."
Andy, who made three league appearances for the Spireites before moving to Everton in 1983, said: "Seeing the lads come back from training took me back to my time as a player, remembering how tough it was in pre-season!"
