Luke Rawson scored twice in the youth team's 4-1 victory over their Huddersfield Town counterparts at the weekend.
The young Spireites took the lead when some good play down the right-hand side ended with Rawson finding the net with a well-taken header from Josh Turner's cross.
Huddersfield equalised following a defensive error to leave the two teams tied at 1-1 at the break.
Chesterfield regained the lead early in the second half when Rawson produced a composed finish following some good play in midfield.
Brandon Howard then intercepted the ball around half-way line and went past three or four players before firing across keeper to make it 3-1.
Matthew Fuertado added a fourth goal with a low diving header after a good passing move.
Coach Darren Molloy said: "It's great for the lads' confidence and confirms and backs up what we're tryng to work on.
"The first half was 50/50. We could have done better, but we played some good stuff and went one-nil up.
"A mistake led to their goal, which balanced the game up and it became franctic and a bit scrappy.
"Thankfully, the lads grasped what we said at half time, kicked on and scored four really good goals."
