Team News

During Thursday’s pre-match press conference John Sheridan confirmed that the Spireites are likely to be without both Alex Kiwomya and Bradley Barry on Saturday due to injury.

The opposition

The Manager – Jon Taylor

Taylor was appointed Bedford boss in September 2015, after previous manager Dan Kennoy departed the club.

The 47-year-old has plenty of management experience in non-league football, having previous spells at Arlesey Town, St Neots Town and Hereford United.

The Eagles currently sit in ninth position in the Evo-Stik League South Division One Central.

One to watch - Dan Walker

The Bedford top scorer had spells with the likes of Luton Town, Cambridge United, Aldershot Town, and Braintree Town before moving back to the Eagles in the summer of last year.

He has hit the ground running since returning to his former club, scoring 11 goals in 21 appearances this season.

Head to head

This is the first time the two sides have faced each other.

From the dugout

John Sheridan on Bedford: "No disrespect to Bedford, but I'd like to concentrate on what we're going to do because I think if we're on our game, we'll win the game.

“I expect us to win the game but that's not taking them lightly whatsoever."
