The Spireites travel to Barnet on Tuesday night and John Sheridan is looking for an immediate response from his players following Saturday's 1-0 defeat at home to Harrogate Town.

Sheridan said: "Don't dwell on Saturday. We have to forget about Harrogate and concentrate on Barnet.

"I prefer a game coming quickly when you've had a result you don't want. I think it's the best way to come back."

Sheridan respects Barnet, who lost on penalties in the FA Trophy at AFC Fylde on Saturday, but he expects his team to travel south with the firm belief they can win.

He said: "They're a team in and around us and they're a good team. I watched them when they played Sheffield United and they've got some quick and talented players.

"If we beat them we go above them so that is our aim. There are lots of points to play for. It's a very inconsistent league and anything can happen.

"I dont look at who we're playing. I think every game is winnable."

Sheridan says that Will Evans will be assessed before he finalises his selection plans. "I don't think he's far off," added the Spireites boss.
