There will be an NHS screening session in the HUB at the Proact before Monday's game against Boreham Wood, aimed at males aged 65 and over.

The screening is to detect an abdominal aortic aneurysm, which is potentially life-threatening.

NHS AAA screening technician Helen Hearnshaw, who will be in attendance, said: "We travel around north Derbyshire, screening men aged 65 and over.

"We were recently invited to set up a clinic at a walking football session in Dronfield, where we scanned 25 walking footballers and the Community Trust has kindly allowed us to scan fans on Monday."

Scans will take place between 11am and 1pm in the Ernie Moss Room in the HUB. Alternatively, arrangements can be made to have a scan at a different location on another date.

Males aged 65 and over who have not previously been scanned on the NHS AAA Screening Programme are eligible for a free scan.

Helen added: "Just ten minutes out of your day and I will give you reassurance that will last you for the rest of your life."
