Chairman Mike Warner has provided an update on plans to appoint two associate directors.
He said: “On behalf of the board, I would like to first of all apologise for the delay in appointing the associate directors. In all honesty, we all thought that the proposed takeover would go through just before the start of the season, leaving the new owners to make a decision on the associate director roles.
“We have received 18 applications from high-calibre individuals, offering an impressive range of expertise and experience. We are very grateful to all those people who have taken the time and effort to put themselves forward.
“I will be joined on a selection panel by my fellow director John Croot, Community Trust chairman Mike Goodwin and long-time club sponsor Karen Child. We will assess all the applications and draw-up a shortlist of candidates who will then be invited for an interview.”
Two of the shortlisted candidates will be offered associate director roles. It is expected that the selection process will be completed by the end of this month.
