Martin Allen says he is thankful that Chesterfield are back in action on Tuesday night following Saturday's very disappointing performance against Gateshead.
The Spireites boss did not mince his words after the 3-0 defeat at the weekend, but he now wants to move on and focus his attention on the visit of Maidenhead United.
Martin said: "On reflection, that was the first time in 13 games that we've played so poorly. We just did not get going, for one reason or another.
"I told everybody how I felt, but you do have to draw a line under it at some point. Off we go again tomorrow night.
"I think the players that played in that game on Saturday need to step up to the plate on Tuesday night.
"I'm pleased we've got this game. It gives the players a chance to show that they are good players.
"It's our chance to put it right and get on a run. We've got to bring the happiness back into people's lives."
The Spireites will be without Zavon Hines, who is supended after being sent-off on Saturday. Martin has indicated that Robbie Weir will play with Joe Rowley set to be among the substitutes.
