We take a look at new signing Jake Bennett, who has arrived on loan from Sheffield United until the end of the season...

Bennett is a 22-year-old right-back who joined the Blades from Mickleover Sports in December 2016. He made his debut last term in a Carabao Cup tie against Walsall, but a knee injury brought his season to a premature end.

Jake's cousins - Elliott and Kyle - play for Blackburn Rovers and Bristol Rovers respectively.

In an interview with the Shropshire Star, Bennett said that after being at Wolves from the age of seven up until he was 14, playing at a lower level helped his development.

"I played Sunday football for a bit and then went into non-league," he commented. "Being in non-league helped me. When I was 16, I was playing men's football and got four years of it under my belt."

Bennett has been handed the number 35 shirt and is set to go straight into the squad for Saturday's televised game at Halifax.
