The youth team enjoyed a 3-1 win at Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
Zac Walker, Jared Wild and Levi Amantchi were on target for the Spireites. Walker produced a composed finish while Amantchi scored within two minutes of coming on, using his pace and power to dribble past opponents before finding the net with a side-foot shot.
Coach Miguel Llera said: "We deserved to win and I was really proud of the lads. It was the first week that John Pemberton worked with us and he introduced some new ideas. Saturday was a good chance for the lads to impress the new academy manager.
"We knew that they try to play from the back so we were working during the week on how to press them from the top.
"There was pressure on the lads, having to take on the new ideas and the new eyes watching them. It was a little bit sloppy in the first half and they may have been scared to make mistakes.
"We spoke to the players at half time and I think that in general terms we were better than them in the second half. We managed the game really well and deserved to win the game."
Spireites: Wharton, Howard, Emery, Wild, Gibson, Bradbury (Tansley 70), Fuertado, Greaves, Rawson (Papworth 80), Turner (Amantchi 65), Walker (Clogg 75)
Unused substitute: Unwin-Marris
