Youth coach Miguel Llera was pleased with his side's display in Saturday's goal-less draw at home to Notts County.
Llera said: "I'm really pleased with the performance in general. I think the standard of the players was really high.
"I'm obviously a little bit disappointed because we had chances and we couldn't score. At the moment we are struggling a little bit up fron, because we are missing too many chances.
Whilst he may have been disappointed with their lack of cutting edge in front of goal, he was delighted that the team kept a clean sheet.
He said: "We got a clean sheet and I was happy with the defensive duties. If you can't win, at least don't lose.
"Individually, the most important thing for me about the players was that the standard for a lot of them was was really high and some of the players had injuries.
"We had five under-16s on the bench and when they came on they did okay and that is the most important thing.
"At the moment we are not attacking crosses in the right areas and we need to improve in the final third and improve our final decision."
Llera also spoke about the pitch and talked about how difficult it was for his team.
"The pitch was muddy and the play was difficult; there was a lot of standing still and players were falling over. We need to improve where we think we need to be better."
