It has been confirmed that defenders Ian Evatt, Sam Hird and Drew Talbot will not be offered new contracts with the club, once their existing deals expire next month.

Hird joined the club in 2012 from Doncaster Rovers and went on to make 231 appearances in all competitions for the Spireites, scoring 10 goals. Hird was also part of the squad that won the League Two title in 2014, and the club’s Player of the Year for the 2015/16 season.
Talbot meanwhile, re-joined the club from Portsmouth back in January, having previously played for the club on loan between January-May 2009 and then on a permanent basis between July 2009-2016. He was part of the League Two winning squads in 2010/11 and also 2013/14, in total he 291 appearances for the club, netting 19 goals.
The club would like to thank Ian, Sam and Drew for their loyal service and efforts during their time with the club, and wish them all well for the future.
