Scott Wiseman played 90 minutes for Rochdale in their 1-1 draw with AFC Wimbledon at the Crown Oil Arena on Saturday.
The Gibraltar international kept his place in the Dale XI, after manager Keith Hill opted to stick with the same team that drew with Southend United the previous midweek.
The Dons took the lead in the early stages through Deji Oshilaja, before Wiseman came close to an assist, when his cross from the right flank was headed wide by Stephen Humphrys. Dale would eventually claim a share of the spoils thanks to Andy Cannon’s 25th minute strike.
Wiseman is expected to be in the Dale squad, when they take on former Spireites boss, John Sheridan’s Fleetwood Town at the Crown Oil Arena tomorrow night, 7.45pm.
Spireites striker Ricky German also played the full 90 minutes, in Matlock Town’s 2-1 defeat at home to Farsley Celtic. Former Spireite Curtis Morrison also featured for Matlock.
The match will mostly be remembered for two snowstorms taking place while the game was in progress, the second of which forced the players off the field for 10 minutes in the second half to allow the ground staff to clear the pitch.
The Gladiators took the lead when German’s strike partner Shaun Harrad converted in the 33rd minute. Before Farsley captain Danny Ellis scored twice from close range to turn the tables in the visitors’ favour. German hit the post in the game’s early stages, before going close again in the second half when he fired over after showing good strength to hold off a defender.
The striker will hope for better luck in front of goal, when the Gladiators travel to Rushall Olympic this Saturday, March 24.
Meanwhile, with Chorley not in action at the weekend, striker Delial Brewster will be hoping to feature in the Magpies’ home National League North clash with Spennymoor Town at Victory Park tomorrow night, 7.45pm.
