Manager Jack Lester spoke to the media today ahead of the Spireites game with Lincoln City at the Proact tomorrow (3pm). Here's what he had to say...
On the AGM: "It was good. I thought the fans spoke well. I like the passion that they showed. It's important and sometimes it helps you when you explain the decisions that you make. If you support a club you deserve to have an insight."
On training: "It's been a really good week. We've been in and out so we could get as many heavy days in as we could. We loaded them at the start of the week and its tailed off before Saturday. I'm expecting a high energy performance."
On injuries and team news: "Zavon [Hines] is in and around it. There's one or two coming back.
"There's also been one or two carrying knocks and we've really been able to get on top of them and get some fitness work and get sustained time on the pitch.
"George Smith has had an extra two weeks of training which he has benefitted massively from so there's been some real good work done."
On Joe Anyon: "He's having a session then missing a session. He's almost back in full training - he's joined in some bits.
"We're pleased and he's making good progress. I think just having his presence around, he's got a lot of experience and he's a good voice. He's got an excellent attitude. The more people like that you have around the better."
On Louis Reed's suspension: "You have to adapt to it. It'll give him time to recharge his batteries. It gives an opportunity for others.
"With the squad getting bigger opportunities become much more important to take. Of course we'd like him to be around but we'll cope without him."
On who might captain the side vs Lincoln: "We've got one or two options.
"A captain is someone you pick that is reliable and does the right things at the right time in terms of the whole aspect of being a footballer and someone that sets standards for people to follow. That's how you choose a captain."
On Lincoln: "They're a good side and we're expecting a very tough game.
"I went to see them in the week and we know what to expect. We've got good players of our own and it'll be a good game.
"It'll be a good atmosphere in here and that's what we want. As a football club you want to play in those games with good atmospheres and let's hope we get the win."
