The Spireites continue their build-up to the new season with a trip to Lincolnshire this evening to face Gainsborough Trinity (7.30pm).

Martin Allen revealed his selection plans in a Spireites Digital interview, confirming that new signing Lee Shaw will come on as a substitute at some point to make his first appearance in a Chesterfield shirt.

Shwan Jalal will be in goal with Sam Wedgbury at right-back and Jerome Binnom-Williams on the left-hand side of defence. Will Evans and Laurence Maguire will be the cente-back pairing.

Robbie Weir and Curtis Weston will start in central midfield with Charlie Carter on the right and George Smith on the left.

In attack, Gozie Ugwu will be partnered by triallist Liam McAlinden, who started his career at Wolves.

Joe Anyon, Michael Nelson and Zavon Hines will be among those joining Shaw on the bench, along with another striker Allen is casting his eye over, Lewis Walker.

Allen described the teenager as a "good centre-forward from Derby County who's done really well in training". He added: "We're going to have a look at him over the next couple of games."

Admission to the game at the Martin & Co Arena will cost £8 for adults, £4 for concessions (under-18s/students & senior citizens) and £2 for under-16s.
