The Spireites are in action again tomorrow night (Tuesday) when they travel to Gainsborough Trinity (7.30pm).
Gainsborough were relegated last season for the first time in the club's 145-year history. They will be looking to escape the Evo Stik Northern Premier League this coming season and return to the National League North.
The Holy Blues have enjoyed a good start to pre-season, beating Mansfield Town U21s 2-0 and Selby Town FC 3-1, as well as giving a good account of themsleves against Barnsley, despite losing 2-0.
Chesterfield go into the game on the back of a comfortable 5-1 win over Sheffield FC in their first pre-season game and a 1-1 draw at Boston United at the weekend.
The game could be a battle of the brothers, with Laurence Maguire possibly set to face his elder sibling Joe, who plays for Gainsborough. It has been reported that a third Maguire brother - England star Harry - in attendance to watch.
Admission to the game at the Martin & Co Arena will cost £8 for adults, £4 for concessions (under-18s/students & senior citizens) and £2 for under-16s.
