Carl Muggleton has explained how pre-season training is shaping up, with the focus now on how the manager wants the team to play following initial intense work on fitness.
While the players' fitness remains a vital part of the training routine, much work has been done on team shape and associated matters over the last week or so.
In the latest Spireites Digital interview, Muggleton said: “The first few days of pre-season is about hard work and getting that natural fitness back into them.
"The manager is getting the work out of the players, as to how we’re going to play, set-pieces and preparing for games. Getting through to the lads how they’re expected to play and what we want from them."
Following last weekend's pre-season opener at Sheffield FC, the Spireites continue their build-up to the new campaign with a trip to Boston United on Saturday.
“Now we’re starting to get into the pre-season games, building up to this weekend’s game, looking at the team shape and making sure that players get the right amount of time on the pitch before the season starts," added Muggleton.
