Joe Rowley scored twice as the Spireites got their pre-season campaign underway with a 5-1 win at Sheffield FC.
Charlie Carter, Curtis Weston and Gozie Ugwu also found the net in a match played in sweltering conditions at the Coach & Horses ground in Dronfield.
Carter opened the scoring after just over 15 minutes, firing into the roof of the net after a Zavon Hines cross was deflected into his path.
After Ugwu went close, sliding in at the far post, Weston (38) made it 2-0 from Ugwu's lay-off.
Ugwu added a third in the second half with a close-range finish.
Rowley, on as a substitute, slotted home a fourth goal and then fired into an empty net for his second of the match.
Waide Fairhurst pulled a goal back for the hosts late on, slotting past the advancing Joe Anyon.
Manager Martin Allen gave his verdict after the game. He said: "There were no injuries and it was a good fitness work-out against a well-organised team.
"Our team played at a high tempo with the ball and worked extremely hard to get the ball back when we were not in possession.
"I'm delighted with the attitude of every single supporter and player who made the trip to Sheffield Football Club.
"The next time we make the trip to Sheffield, it will be in the FA Cup and we will be beating those two clubs up the dual carriageway.
"Now, we will enjoy seeing our country win again."
