The Spireites will get their pre-season programme underway tomorrow (Saturday), with a game at nearby Sheffield FC (12noon).

"I've been waiting for this for ages and I can't wait.

Allen outlined the starting line-up, saying: "Shwan will be in goal. Barry is going to play right-back with Evans and Nelson at centre-back. Binnom-Williams at left-back.

"In midfield, on the right is Carter and on the left is Smith. The two in the middle will be Weir and Weston and the two up front will be Hines and Gozie.

"Most of that group will play for 60 minutes and we're going to do quite a lot of substitutions."

International clearance has not been received for Sam Wedgbury so he is unavailable for selection. Drew Talbot is being rested as he has a little tightness in his hamstring while Laurence Maguire has "Russian 'flu"!

"Adrian (Whitbread) went to see the youth team play on Wednesday and he picked two lads out who will be coming with us and they will play the end part of the game," added Allen. "Rowley, Ify, Wakefield and Sinnott will be the other subs.

"I've been waiting for this for ages and I can't wait for it to start, to be honest."

Admission to the game at the Coach & Horses ground in Dronfield is priced at £5 for adults and £3 for concessions.

A reminder that the pre-season friendly at Staveley Miners Welfare, originally scheduled to be played later in the day, has been called-off and will be rescheduled at a later date.
