Chesterfield’s football secretary, Sally Swain, has today been fined and handed a suspension after being found guilty of misconduct at an FA hearing.

Ms Swain, who pleaded guilty after being charged with breaking FA rule E3 relating to a player transfer, will be suspended from all football-related activities for six weeks. She will return to work at the end of that period.

The panel recognised Ms Swain’s unblemished 16-year service to the club when considering the case.
