The youth team extended their unbeaten run in the EFL Youth Alliance North East to four matches on Saturday, following a 1-1 draw away at Oldham Athletic.
Marshall Willock opened the scoring for the Spireites in the 12th minute, when he tapped home from Charlie Wakefield's free kick. However, the hosts hit back in the second half with a well taken goal in the 63rd minute.
Speaking about his side's performance, academy coach Miguel Llera said: "For me the general feeling is that we've lost the game, I was expecting a lot more from the players.
"We started well, scored and then managed the game really well. The pitch didn't help as it was really heavy, but we let them grow into the game. We should have put away our chances in the first 30 minutes, but we didn't and they punished us."
Next up for the youth team is a home clash with Burton Albion at St George's Park Sheffield Graves, this Saturday, 11am.
