Johnny Wilson has been named as Chesterfield's new head physiotherapist.
Wilson, who succeeds Michael McBride, was previously head of medical services at Scunthorpe United and head of sports science & medicine at Notts County.
Wilson has worked in elite and professional sport for 16 years. During his seven-year spell at County, the club won an award for having the best sports science and medicine department in League Two.
Commenting on his appointment, Wilson said: "I'm delighted to have been given the role and I'm really looking forward to the challenge.
"It's an exciting opportunity for me to be working for such a progressive manager. I really like the way that he prepares for training and games, building a robustness and a resilience in the players."
Manager Jack Lester added: "I'd like to welcome Johnny to the club. He is very knowledgeable and very bright and he’s also very experienced so it was an easy decision to appoint him."
