Chesterfield have completed the signing of midfielder Giles Coke who was a free agent, subject to EFL approval.
An experienced midfielder, Coke arrives at the Proact on a contract until the end of the season.
Speaking about the deal, the one-time Sheffield Wednesday man said: "It's been a really tough 20 months for me, but to get it sorted out now is fantastic, I'm really happy to be here."
Coke's career started at Kingstonian, before spells with the likes of Mansfield Town, Motherwell and Bolton Wanderers. Most recently Coke played for Ipswich Town in the Sky Bet Championship.
The midfielder is contention to make his debut for the club, in Saturday's home match with Crawley Town, 3pm.
