Team News

Tom Denton and Alex Kiwomya both face late fitness tests while Jordan Hallam and Bradley Barry are ruled-out.

The Opposition

The Manager – Tim Flowers

Flowers started his goalkeeping career with Wolverhampton Wanderers before seven seasons at Southampton and then six with Blackburn Rovers after joining them in a £2.4m deal which at the time made him the most expensive goalkeeper in Britain.

He was a key member of the Rovers team that came second in the Premier League in his first season and then won the title in 1994/95.

Flowers, who was capped 11 times by England, hung up his boots in 2003 and then turned to coaching.

He has been a goalkeeper coach at Leicester City, Manchester City, Northampton Town, Nottingham Forest and Fulham.

He has also been assistant-manager at Coventry City, Queens Park Rangers, Hull City and Kidderminster and had a spell in the top job at Stafford Rangers.

Part of the managerial partnership which performed the “Great Escape” with Solihull Moors last season, Flowers took full charge of the team in June.

One to Watch – Adi Yussuf

The striker started his football career in the youth and reserve teams at Leicester City before signing for Burton Albion in 2012.

He then had a spell with Lincoln City in the Conference before a season with Oxford City.

Yussuf hit 29 goals for Oxford City which landed him a contract with Mansfield Town and a return to the Football League.

He joined Grimsby Town in January 2017 as the strike-partner to Omar Bogle and moved on to Barrow for the start of the last campaign.

Yussuf, who played 22 times for the Bluebirds and netted six goals, joined Moors last January. He made a great start to his Solihull career, scoring twice on his debut at Dagenham.

Born in Zanzibar, the 26-year-old was called up to the Tanzanian national squad in 2015.

Head to Head

This will be the first time the two clubs have faced each other.
