A Spireites XI won 2-1 at Sheffield FC on Tuesday night.
There was a minute's applause before kick-off as supporters paid triubute to former Spireites defender Kevin Austin, who passed away recently at the age of 45. Proceeds from the match will go to St Luke's Hospice, at the request of Kevin's family.
Ify Ofoegbu gave Chesterfield the lead and Luke Rawson also scored before the break.
The hosts pulled a goal back after the break but Chesterfield held on to win.
Assistant-manager Adrian Whitbread said: "It was good to see the senior pros, younger pros and scholars in action.
"It was a competitive game and a very worthwhile exercise. Members of Kevin Austin's family were in attendance and it was good to remember him with the applause before the game."
