Martin Allen is looking forward to facing his former club Barnet on Saturday, but his focus will be on masterminding a return to winning ways for the Spireites.
Martin, who faces his former club for the first time since leaving in May, said: "There’s never going to be an easy game in this division.
"Some of those Barnet players I know very, very well. Some of them are very special to me personally because they are champions and after the game I hope I get the chance to see them all properly and have a chat with them in my office.
“But prior to the game and in the build-up, we have to be totally focused on our football club and then after the game I’ll be first to shake everybody’s hand and welcome everybody from Barnet.”
Barnet manager John Still, who charge in May, hasn’t enjoyed the best of starts to his third stint with the Bees, picking up two points from five games so far this season.
Martin hailed Still as a “mentor” to him, saying: “John Still’s a brilliant manager. He always finds good young players, he always builds teams and over the years he’s transformed his style of plays and his teams play really good football.
“He’s always been like a mentor and a guide when I first started out and a big, big help.”
