This is a 1,300 away sell-out for Chesterfield.

In 0.8 mile …….At the junction (Premier Inn) take the right hand lane for a right turn into A6044 Sheepfoot Lane.
In 2 miles…... At the junction with the A56 (Bury New Road) take the left hand turn towards Manchester City Centre.
In 1 mile …….Turn right into Moor Lane.

Coach Parking

Supporters' coaches can drop off on Moor Lane, outside the ground.

Away supporters can then use the Moor Lane turnstile(s) for segregated matches.

Coaches can then park on Kersal Road (North off Moor Lane, to the west of the ground) for the duration of the game.

SCFC Stewards will be on hand to provide details of coach parking on arrival.

Traffic Commissioners guidelines - are followed as a matter of cause.

The Traffic Commissioners’ Guidelines, together with the Sporting Events (Control of Alcohol) Act 1985, as amended by the Public Order Act 1986, prohibits alcohol on a vehicle which :-
is either a public service vehicle or a vehicle adapted to carry more than 8 passengers (i.e., mini – bus) and ;
is being used for the principal purpose of carrying passengers for the whole or part of a journey to or from a designated sporting event.
Coach Operators are reminded to keep to the following new guidelines when carrying supporters to and from football matches :-
1. Coaches are not to stop within 10 miles of the venue either on route to or from the event unless prior agreement is obtained from the local Police Liaison Officer.
2. Unless directed otherwise by a Police Officer, coaches may not stop at premises where intoxicating liquor is sold unless it is sold as ancillary to a substantial meal.
3. Coaches are to arrive at the venue no earlier than two hours before and not later than one hour before kick-off.
4. Coaches are not to set down or uplift passengers at any unauthorised locations without prior permission of the police.
5. Coaches must leave the venue within one hour of the finish of the event.
The Commissioner has powers to attach conditions to Operators’ Licences in relation to journeys to and from football matches, but prefers to rely on co-operation between Operators and Police.
The Police have been asked to notify the Commissioner of any incidents where the guidelines have not been followed so that he may consider whether any conditions should be imposed.

Away fans information

The SCFC stadium is not located in Salford itself, but in the nearby area of Kersal.

There is no parking available at the ground for visiting supporters, plus the streets in the immediate vicinity of the ground have a residents only scheme in operation.

Please check signage on lamp posts for details of parking restrictions, as wardens out on patrol on match days.

However, there is street parking to be had on Moor Lane itself and other streets located a little further away from the ground, such as Kersal Moor Road.

Parking here also has the added benefit that you can get away pretty easily after the match, as at the top of Kersal Moor Road, you can turn right towards Prestwich (for M60 North) or left towards Swinton (for M61 and M60 South).

Chesterfield supporters should use Turnstile ‘A’ on Moor Lane (the end nearest to the church).

Refreshments and programmes (priced at £2) are available inside

Train: Manchester Victoria is the closest mainline station, which is just over three miles away from SCFC.

Either take a taxi up to the ground or from the Victoria Station approach, there is also the option of First Bus No: 98 which travels along Bury New Road towards Bury.

This bus stops just after the end of Moor Lane (the road not the ground), just past the Hazeldean Hotel. The journey time is around 18 minutes.

More information can be found on the First Bus website.
