Team News
In the pre-match press conference, Martin Allen was pleased to announce that none of the players were carrying any injuries, so he will be able to field a full-strength side.

The Opposition

Manager – Daryl McMahon

Ebbsfleet's young manager was thrust into management at just 31 years of age, when he was appointed caretaker manager at Ebbsfleet for a three-game period in November 2014. Club chiefs were clearly impressed with his short spell, after winning two and drawing one and they gave him a two-year management contract in April 2015.

The former West Ham and Republic of Ireland youth player, had a two-season stint playing for Ebbsfleet, was an immediate success as a manager. He took them to the National League South play-off final in his first season, eventually losing on penalties. However, they went one better the season after, beating Chelmsford City in the final.

The 'Fleet' managed to keep their momentum going into last season as they qualified for the play-offs, but were beaten 4-2 in the semi-finals by Tranmere Rovers. They will be hoping to be challenging for promotion once again this season.

One to Watch – Danny Kedwell

The veteran goalscorer is well-known to Spireites manager Martin Allen, as he was part of Allen’s Gillingham side that won the League Two title in 2013. He has scored 47 goals since moving to Ebbsfleet from Gillingham in 2015, and an impressive 18 of them were scored last season.

Head to Head

The Spireites have never previously faced Saturday’s opponents. It will be an opportunity for the fans to visit and experience Ebbsfleet’s Kuflink Stadium for the first time.

From the Dugout:

Martin Allen said: “They were a play-off team last season, so they are one of the best sides in the division. They have got a fantastic young manager; he’s an excellent coach.”
