Jacob Brown knows all about the Spireites' rivalry with Mansfield and is ready to put in a big performance for tomorrow's vital Sky Bet League Two clash at the Proact, 1pm.
Still six points from safety and with games running out, every match takes on greater significance as Jack Lester's men attempt to avoid relegation. Nevertheless, victory in Saturday's local derby will be extra special to the fans.
And despite only joining on loan from Barnsley on deadline day in January, Brown is already well up to speed on what the fixture represents.
"They (the senior players) haven't really had to tell me anything about it because I just know it's a massive game," Brown said. "With our current position every game is a massive one and we want three points from all of them but especially this one.
"If we can get the victory it will feel even better than simply getting three points.
"Big pressure games like this need to bring the best out of us and hopefully we can perform tomorrow.
"It's still in our own hands and we know that if we keep putting the performances in, keep grinding out results we can still do it."
Lester's side showed terrific spirit to salvage a point against Morecambe on Tuesday night, having gone two goals down in the first-half.
Brown believes the confidence gained from that comeback can help to inspire the Spireites to a crucial win over the Stags.
He added: "Everyone's very confident going into Saturday's game because we've shown that we can react like that.
"Even if we do go behind, we won't worry we know we can respond and put more pressure on."
