Of our loanees, centre half Marshall Willock was the only one to feature this weekend.
Willock played 90 minutes for Kettering Town in their FA Trophy tie with Leek Town but was unable to prevent the Poppies’ exit from the competition, with Leek winning the match 3-2.
The blues took a 1-0 lead through Dan Trickett-Smith in the 28th minute before Niall Maguire doubled the lead nine minutes into the second half.
Kettering fought back and levelled the scores thanks to Ben Toseland (57) and Aaron O’Connor (68), before Leek striker Tim Grice’s 86th minute winner.
Willock will next be in action for Kettering on Saturday, when they travel to Farnborough, 3pm.
Meanwhile, Sheffield FC did not have a fixture at the weekend, meaning that Ricky German must wait until Saturday for his next outing, when the World's First face Stamford, 3pm, in the Evo-Stik League First Division South.
Midfielder Jack Brownell’s loan spell at the Coach and Horses Stadium has now come to an end and he’s returned to the club.
Brownell made a total of 11 appearances for Sheffield, scoring three goals.
