Hand and Amantchi Secure Another Youth Team Win

Two goals from Dylan Hand and one from striker Levi Amantchi gave the youth team a 3-2 victory over Oldham Athletic at St George’s Park Sheffield Graves on Saturday.

The result was a third straight EFL Youth Alliance North East win for Miguel Llera’s side and a fourth consecutive triumph in all competitions.

Oldham took a 1-0 lead into the interval, but Hand equalised with a free kick in the second half. The Latics then regained their one-goal advantage.

Substitute Amantchi levelled matters in the 72nd minute, holding off a defender before firing past the goalkeeper. 

Hand then grabbed the winning goal and his second of the game, with a diving header 12 minutes from time.

The youth team are next in action this Thursday, November 2 (7pm), when they take on Notts County in the FA Youth Cup first round at the Proact, admission prices for the match are £3 adults and £1 concessions.
