We take a look at how some of our young Spireites fared out on-loan last weekend.
Striker Ricky German scored his first goal for Sheffield FC, in a 3-2 defeat to Corby Town. It was German’s first start for the Evo-Stik South side and on twenty minutes a through ball from Sam Finlaw allowed German to convert.
Midfielder Jack Brownell also started the game and provided an assist for Sheffield’s other goal, after his pass found striker Jamie Yates who put the World’s First Football Club 2-1 ahead.
Brownell and German will be hoping to contribute once again for Sheffield, when they visit Stamford a week on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Marshall Willock who missed Kettering Town’s last two matches against Nantwich Town in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round, came on as a 56th minute substitute against Slough Town in a goalless draw.
Kettering are enjoying a good season themselves and if they win their game in hand they would go top of the Evo-Stik Premier.
