Centre half Marshall Willock and striker Ricky German were both in action for their respective loan clubs this weekend, we take a look at how they got on.
Willock was a 42nd minute substitute for Kettering Town when they played Farnborough on Saturday. Where first-half goals from Rene Hall (1), Gary Mulligan (12) and Ben Toseland (36) gave the Poppies a comfortable half-time lead at the Rushmoor Community Stadium.
Farnborough fought back from 3-0 down at half-time to level with veteran striker Jamie Cureton scoring what looked to have been an 89th minute equaliser, however, Matthew Stevens (95) scored a late winner for Kettering which elevated them to the summit of the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division.
Meanwhile, German played the full 90 minutes for Sheffield FC in their 2-2 draw away at Stamford.
Debutant, Tyler Williams (9) had given Sheffield the lead before Bradley Fortnam-Tomlinson levelled for the hosts.
Richard Adams was shown a straight red card for Sheffield in the 68th minute and Sam Hollis capitalised on the one-man advantage with an extraordinary bicycle-kick to give Stamford the lead, before James Gregory equalised for the World’s First in the closing stages.
German will be hoping to be involved again when Sheffield host Frickley Athletic in the Sheffield and Hallamshire Senior Cup on Tuesday night.
