Community Trust staff are supporting a charity ball being held at the Proact next month in order to raise funds for Chesterfield youngster Rudi Else.
Nineteen-month-old Rudi suffers from Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a rare genetic condition that affects his ability to move and he has recently been to France for treatment.
Tickets for the event, being held on Saturday, June 10 (7pm), are priced at £40, which includes a two-course meal, drink on arrival and entertainment from an acoustic singer, followed by a disco.
Guests will be in with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes in a raffle and bid for items in a silent auction.
Rudi’s mum, Dani, expressed her gratitude for the Community Trust’s support. She said: “The help and assistance we have received from the Trust to organise the charity ball has been fantastic.
“All the monies raised will go towards expenses for travelling to France for Rudi’s next injections. Funds will also help necessary adaptations to be made to our home, which will allow Rudi to have a better standard of living.”
Hayleigh Vasey from the Community Trust added: “When we met Rudi last week, he was an absolute treasure and we are really proud to be supporting this lovely family.”
