Chesterfield FC along with the Professional Footballers Association are proudly supporting Know the Score campaign, which uses football to raise awareness of bowel cancer amongst people of all ages.
Each year 40,000 people are diagnosed with the disease, and early diagnosis and treatment saves lives.
This year’s campaign runs from Saturday April 1 – April 8, and Spireites player/coach Ritchie Humphreys says that it’s vital that clubs play their part.
He said: "We're very proud to be supporting the campaign once again, for what is a very worthy cause.
"The figures surrounding this disease are staggering, with it affecting one in four people. We as footballers can play a huge part in raising awareness of bowel cancer, and hopefully we'll encourage people to get the treatment they need."
