Coach Directions to the Macron Stadium

From the North & East M62 / M60

M62 runs into the M60 ring road. 

Go to junction 15 M60 which is junction 1, M61. 

Travel towards PRESTON on the M61 leaving at junction 6. 

Turn right off the slip road and the Macron Stadium can be seen ½ mile in front. 

Take directions to Car Park “A.”

From the South

M6 North to junction 21a. 

Take M62 towards Manchester where it will join the M60 ring road at junction 12, M60. 

Follow the signs towards Leeds/Bolton.  

Leave the M60 at junction 14 to join the M61 towards PRESTON not Bolton. 

Go to junction 6 turning right off the slip road and the Macron Stadium can be seen ½ mile in front. 

Follow directions for Car Park “A.”  

Car Parking

There are a number of car park facilities available at Macron Stadium and these are operated on a first come first serve basis. Prices for all the car parks are as follows:

Cars: £7
Mini coaches: £12
Coaches: £20

Car Park A

This is the car park available for away supporters to use on a matchday and is located at the South end of the stadium and is accessed via the A6027, De Havilland Way. This car park is clearly sign posted from the motorway junction. Parking is available for cars, mini coaches and coaches. Entry can be purchased on a matchday.

All Operators must adhere to the Traffic Commissioners Guidelines:-

Coaches are to arrive no sooner than two hours before kick-off and no later than one hour before Kick Off. 

Coaches are not to stop within 10 miles of the Stadium either to or from the venue, unless prior agreement is sought from the local Police Liaison Officer.

Unless directed otherwise by a Police Officer, coaches should only stop at licensed premises when alcohol is served ancillary to a meal. Prior agreement for such meal stops should be made with the local Police Liaison Officer.

Coaches are not to set down or pick up passengers at any unauthorised locations without prior Police permission.

Coaches must leave the venue within one hour after the match ends.

Operators should draw to the hirer’s attention their requirements in respect of the laws. Drivers should make every effort to check that passengers are not carrying alcohol onto the coaches, and must inform the local Police of any     
breaches. They should not get involved with unauthorised searching of passengers.

Failure of Operators to comply with these guidelines will result in the matter being reported to the Traffic Commissioners.

By Train

The nearest / closest train station to Bolton Wanderers’ Macron Stadium is the Horwich Parkway train station which is just 100 yards away. 

It is situated on the Manchester Airport to Preston and Blackpool North/Blackpool North and Preston to Manchester Airport line.

Away fans are located in the South Stand at BWFC
